Youth Teams

Season Overview

NEW: Introducing a competitive youth girls’ volleyball program specifically for 5th and 6th-graders in the District 205 Boundary.

One 5th grade team and one 6th grader team will be formed based on tryouts.  Each team will have two 1-hour practices per week and compete in 4 tournaments against other local suburban teams (Naperville and Aurora). Elmhurst Attack youth teams will participate in the new Illinois Youth Volleyball League (IYVL). The IYVL is a step above local house leagues but a step below full competitive club volleyball. These youth teams are not intended as a replacement for club volleyball.

Who:

5th and 6th-grade girls who live within the District 205 boundary.

When:

Tryouts will take place January 15th which you can register here. Make up tryouts will take place on January 20th. The season takes place from February 3rd to May 3rd. Tournament dates: March 1st, March 22nd, April 26th, and May 3rd.

Where:

Practices will take place at local gym spaces in Elmhurst. Tournaments will take place in Naperville.

Cost:

The cost is $460 per athlete which includes all practice dates, coaches for tournaments, a practice shirt and a jersey shirt.

Coaches: Head Coach at York High School Danny Piwowarczyk will oversee all practices as well as other York volleyball staff, community members, and York volleyball alum.
