Season Overview

Elmhurst Attack offers a competitive youth girls’ volleyball program specifically for 5th and 6th-graders in the District 205 Boundary.

For the 2027 season three teams will be selected. One 5th grade team, one 6th grade team, and one elite team combined of the top 5th and 6th graders. Teams will have two 1-hour practices per week and compete in 4 tournaments against other local suburban teams. The elite team will occasionally have one additional practice a week. Elmhurst Attack youth teams will participate in the Illinois Youth Volleyball League (IYVL). The IYVL is a step above local house leagues but a step below full competitive club volleyball. These youth teams are not intended as a replacement for club volleyball.

Who:

5th and 6th-grade girls who live within the District 205 boundary.

When:

5th Grade Tryouts: December 8th from 6:30-8:00 at Jackson Elementary.

6th Grade Tryouts: December 10th from 6:30-8:00 at Jackson Elementary.

Make Up Tryouts 5th/6th December 12th from 1:00-2:00 at Jackson Elementary

The season begins in February going through May with practices taking place on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If your athlete is selected to the elite team there will be additional practices.

Where:

Practices will take place at mostly Jackson Elementary and Sandburg Middle School. Tournaments will take place in Naperville or other local locations.

Cost:

The tryout cost is $10 to cover rental, insurance, and coaches.

The cost for the 5th and 6th grade team is $560 per athlete which includes all practice dates, coaches for tournaments, a practice shirt and a jersey shirt. The elite team is $600. There is an additional $25 fee that is paid to the Illinois Youth Volleyball League to cover workers and insurance for tournaments.

Coaches: Head Coach at York High School Danny Piwowarczyk will oversee all practices as well as other York volleyball staff, community members, and York volleyball alum.
